Duties: This role is responsible for managing events across EMEA with the Global Marketing Events team. The role will work closely with the above-mentioned team to action incoming event requests, brief relevant agencies and follow-up with internal partners to ensure the project scope is fully detailed, and ensure resources are properly allocated for flawless event execution.
The role will work with internal teams across the company's social media platforms and the family of apps to create external events and flawlessly execute to ensure expectations are met. The role will manage events from start to finish, which includes: receiving brief from internal team, assigning agency; accurately forecast needs and manage event budgets, catering, venues, and other event production needs. Projects will range in size and scope but will often include Executive Level stakeholder management.
The role requires frequent travel throughout EMEA and occasionally Internationally.
Develop and execute events, from initial planning to onsite event management and post event follow up/de-briefs.
Need to be able to work across multiple different events per month with varying budgets – strong prioritization skills required
Negotiate contracts and manage suppliers including agencies, hotels, off-site venues, caterers and others.
Maintain accuracy and accountability of event budget, manage final billing and reconciliation, evaluate results against goals, deliver wrap-up reports, and generate learnings for improvement.
Demonstrate leadership skills with strong ability to adapt to changing environments and prioritizing tasks
Work cross-functionally with the Creative and AV teams to leverage their insight and experience and implement within the event
Resourceful, positive can-do attitude and can find ways to make things happen
Flexible and quick approach to event challenges
5+ years managing events throughout EMEA, tech event experience preferred
Customer service and problem-solving skills
Proven track record of working with executive level stakeholders
Experience in creating and implementing timelines
Project Management skills
Excellent communication skills with internal and external partners
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
Ability to manage and supervise onsite
French or German language skills would be added benefit
