Event Coordinator

As an Assistant Event Coordinator, you will leverage excellent coordination skills, outstanding customer service, organizational skills, and the ability to solve problems to meet changing needs. You will have an interest in special event coordination as well as the video game industry.

Principle Duties / Responsibilities:
• Assist with coordinating on-site production and cleanup for events as necessary.
• Prepare name tags, materials, notebooks, packages, gift bags, registration lists, seating cards, etc.
• Close out all events as required.
• Schedule speakers, vendors, and staff.
• Coordinate and/or participate in all efforts to publicize event.
• Gather and help create invitee list.
• Send out invitations and manage RSVP list.
• Coordinate event logistics, including registration and attendee tracking, presentation and materials support and pre- and post-event evaluations.
• Manage content for mobile event app

Required Knowledge / Skills:
• Excellent communication skills, including writing, proof reading skills, and speaking.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments from a variety of staff and volunteers.
• Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with high professionalism.
• Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision.
• Fantastic customer service ethic and high expectations for quality.
• Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and mail merges; email and web searches.

Preferred Experience / Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Ability to communicate on a technical level with a/v vendors.
• Understanding of internet requirements.
• Familiarity with mobile apps for events and conferences and the ability to populate the app with provided content a plus
