Position Summary:
- Provide expert consulting to internal clients in support and execution of multifaceted meetings, conferences, sponsorships, trade shows and special events for Marketing, Sales and related departments. Work in conjunction with Senior Meeting
- Planners and Manager in support of meetings, conferences, sponsorships, trade shows and special events for Marketing, Sales and related departments.
- Meeting results must meet multiple objectives as well as demonstrate appropriate and consistent application of client brand identity standards.

Description:
- Exercise independent judgment in allocating time and budget resources to achieve meeting outcomes.
- Initiate work plan including timeline and budget, tracks and reports progress.
- Research and recommend meeting themes, sites and special event activities that support objectives; coordinate logistics, planning and execution.
- Develop overall work plan including timeline and budget, track and report progress, evaluates results for clients to ensure that meeting solutions are appropriate for the targeted audience, meet client’s financial and strategic objectives, and are in compliance with department guidelines.
- Initiate proposals with vendors or sponsors on behalf of clients; works with Senior Planners/Manager to finalize contracts.
- Monitor meeting and event expenditures to stay within or below budget.
- Reconcile expenses, post meeting, including reporting of final budget and cost savings/avoidance.
- Coordinate the development of on-registration website, invitations, speaker presentations and other collateral to ensure that materials are professional and appropriately reflect brand standards.
- Coordinate AV technical support, production and staging for meetings and events.
- Provide administrative meeting support for Senior Planner including on-site staffing.
- Update and maintain department database.

Requirements:
- 5 years related experience in the meeting industry and experience with project management and juggling multiple deadlines and schedules.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office. Filemaker Pro experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work in a team environment and pitch in wherever needed.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
-On-site management of meetings sometimes requires evening and weekend work and travel.

Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing or Hotel Management preferred.
