Environmental Artist

A renowned game studio currently working on AAA console title is looking for Environment Artists to join our team creating props, textures and models. We are looking for candidates with a strong desire to work in the Sci-Fi genre and an ability to do high and low res, hard surface and organic modeling. Responsibilities may also include environment art creation, assembly, design and world building. Experience with real time physics, visual effects, rigging and animation for environments is a huge benefit.

Qualifications:
• Two years professional experience working with game environments preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Art, Design or Architecture preferred.
• Experience with Autodesk Maya required.
• Experience with other DCC applications (3DS Max, XSI) will be considered.
• Experience with Photoshop, or similar 2D art packages required.
• Experience with ZBrush or Mudbox required.
• Artist must have strong knowledge of modern game asset development principles and techniques.
• Thorough understanding of the economy of building assets for real time environments required.
• Artist should have strong time management and communication skills.
• Superb high and low polygon modeling skills required.
• Strong sculpting, painting and texturing skills required.
• The ability to quickly grasp new technical concepts required.
