An entry-level designer that requires mentoring in all aspects of design conceptualization and implementation. This person has a working understanding of layout, type and color and is able to take direction from a designer and create a complete layout working proficiently in a variety of design applications. This individual is comfortable proving their design abilities in a production-oriented support role.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: %Time Working under the direction of creative leadership and Senior Designers, assist in the creation, editing and maintenance of promotional communications from concept stage through the production of final files that image and convert properly to conventional print and digital (web) specifications.
Demonstrate production knowledge and execution proficiency with design software (InDesign, Quark, PhotoShop, Dreamweaver, HTML and Illustrator, etc.). Maintain content and layout accuracy with consistent execution of core design skill sets, including style sheets, master pages, layers, tabs, hyphenation and justification, file format conversions, resolution manipulation and color application (CMYK vs. RGB).
Meet all deadlines and milestones established by creative leadership and those outlined on the project schedule by the Project Management Team.
Develop an understanding of Brand Positioning and Corporate Identity and ensure standards are maintained in the development of all communications.
Collaborate effectively with design peers and creative leadership through all stages of creative implementation. Develop customer relationships with Marketing and Merchandising peers by understanding business partner initiatives and category/product distinctions. 15%
