Engagement Manager- Clinical Trials

Seeking a strong Advertising Agency Account Executive/Engagement Manager with pharmaceutical experience to join my major pharmaceutical client to drive the execution of clinical trials marketing communication strategy and tactics (across print, digital and other channels). This a long term contract up to 4 years!

Purpose/Objective of the job:
Drive the execution of clinical trials communication strategy and tactics (across print, digital and other channels) by collaborating with Patient Hub teams, matrix teams and external agencies to pull through patient and HCP recruitment objectives.

Description
• Partner with internal R&D business partners to provide strategic direction and leadership in the development of communication materials to support clinical trials patient recruitment and HCP programs to drive business growth through anticipating study needs, and delivering innovative and effective solutions.
• Develop and maintain an understanding of clinical trials space in order to formulate study-specific strategies to drive patient recruitment and retention for clinical trials.
• Provide actionable recommendations and insight for development of print, digital and other communication materials aimed at patients and /or HCPs to create awareness and interest in clinical trials
• Review Clinical Trials /AOR creative briefs and other requirement related documents necessary to support the development of print, digital and other projects.
• Collaborate with the Clinical team’s agency of record to ensure that communication materials are aligned with Legal and clinical trials regulatory standards. Also help identify if the initiative involves new creative or is straight adaptation/ production.
• Work with internal teams, such as print marketing operations, and external agency partners to define project scope, a proper kick-off is scheduled, creative reviews are timely and all POs and estimates are managed with vendors.
• Keep track of status of various moving parts on all study-related campaigns/ tactics and facilitate communication between internal business partner and external vendor.
• Create spot POs needed for project work performed by the Production Hub and other external vendors.
• Manage project budgets with regard to the Production Hub and other external vendors within internal tracking systems in a timely manner.
• Provide final content review and approval of proofs prior to final printing/ mailing.
• Track day-to-day multi-channel Print tactics from kick-off to delivery. Multi-channel tactics include but are not limited to: Patient Brochures, Journal Ads, Digital (Websites, Banner Ads, Emails), Direct Mail, Study Site Support Materials and others in accordance with Legal and clinical trials regulatory standards.
• Coordinate and lead the activities between Internal (Clinical Trial Team Leads, Channel Integration Hub, other Hubs, Print Specialist) and external (Production Hub, vendors, agency partners) partners as appropriate in facilitating the delivery of multichannel tactics which will include a mix of personal as well as non-personal promotional activity.

Qualifications
Advanced degree preferred; 3-5 years’ experience in account management/ project management for development and production of Print, Digital or multi-channel communication materials to drive clinical trials patient recruitment; demonstrated success working in a matrix environment and exhibiting maturity, judgment and critical thinking skills to plan, negotiate and manage the needs of internal business partners through external vendors.
