Employee Communications Executive

This department at my client's company is an emerging markets-led and financing focused business, providing tailored financial solutions to major government, corporate and institutional clients worldwide.
As part of significant changes to strengthen the Risk Management and Compliance infrastructure and culture, we have committed to develop the highest or most effective standards for Financial Crime Compliance and deploy them globally on a consistent basis. These standards accelerate the commitment to simplify and risk-mitigate the business, satisfy regulatory requirements and support the objective of handling only high quality business.
The Programme covers around 65 countries and will roll out in two strategic phases.

Purpose of the Job:
- Support the Head of Global Employee Communications for the programme.
- Contribute to employee engagement activities that support understanding of Financial Crime Risk Management (FCRM).
- Develop content that supports the programme’s FCRM Education effort.
- Participate in the ongoing intranet project for the Communications workstream

Responsible for:
- Coordinating communications activities to support delivery of the overall team Communications strategy
- Working closely with the Global Standards communication leads to develop and write content for specific activities within individual programme plans
- Coordinating the logistics behind communications activity g. organising face to face panel activities, setting up managed calls, managing distribution lists, uploading content on intranet sites etc
- Collaborating with the wider Employee and Marketing Communications teams both across GBM and the Global Standards programme to ensure aligned communication activities.
- Managing the communication calendar and plan to support reporting requirements.
- Championing high quality, strategically aligned employee communications.
- Coordinating agencies and related administration, e.g. invoices, engagement meetings, and so on

Major Challenges:
- Delivering effectively within a fast paced, high pressure environment and a complex organisational structure
- Consistent communications with employees across 74 countries

Essential Candidate Requirements
- Solid experience in an internal communications management role
- Able to operate within a complex organisational structure and corporate environment
- Technical competence to produce and deliver, hands-on and day-to-day content for all channels of communication
- Excellent written skills, working with the business to ensure accurate core content then compiling compelling, audience appropriate communications
- Must be used to and comfortable managing the logistics behind communications activity
- Familiar with protocol of programme communications e.g working to a project plan.
- First class organisation skills: develops their own plans and manages their own time effectively to ensure they can deliver to deadlines
- Ability to operate effectively in a team working environment

Ideal Candidate Background
- Previous experience managing the communications for a Regulatory/ Risk and Compliance change programme
- Financial Services industry experience and advantage.
