Email marketing automation specialist

Aquent is seeking Email Marketing Automation Specialists for long-term temporary positions with our Fortune 100 technology clients. Ideal candidates will drive marketing campaign success by creating, managing, executing, tracking, and analyzing marketing automation programs.   • Manage, implement, and optimize email marketing automation programs to support goals such as demand generation, lead nurturing, onboarding, customer service, customer retention/loyalty, internal communications, etc...

  • Lead day-to-day management of email operations including project management, email build, QA, deployment, monitoring, and reporting

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure campaigns align with overall digital marketing strategy and corporate business objectives

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency

  • Segment and leverage the marketing database for efficient and effective campaign targeting

  • Work with design and web teams to implement and test-high converting web landing pages from email efforts

  • Develop, execute, and analyze A/B tests

  • Analyze campaign performance and use insights to inform campaign planning and optimization; Report on results to management

  • Proactively maintain the data integrity of the marketing database, including establishing rules and operational campaigns to regularly scrub the database

  • Provide leadership for complying with email privacy guidelines

Skills & Experience

  • BA/BS degree

  • Past experience in marketing automation, email marketing, or marketing operations; We are looking for a range of experience levels (Specialist = 2-3 years, Senior Specialist/Manager = 4+ years)

  • Knowledge of email marketing concepts and best practices including subject lines, messaging, offers, segmentation, landing pages, list management, deliverability, contact frequency, and regulatory requirements

  • Knowledge of digital channel best practices, innovation, and technologies

  • Experience making data-driven decisions using analytics, A/B testing, and campaign reports and dashboards

  • Proficiency with the following types of tools:

    • Marketing Automation Platforms - Marketo, Eloqua, Pardot, or equivalent (Experience as an administrator/power user)

    • Basic HTML/CSS

    • Web Analytics - Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or equivalent

    • Excel

    • SQL a plus

  • Passion to continually learn and expand hands-on technical skills

  • Project leadership in digital marketing creative development, cross-functional planning, and campaign management

  • Highly collaborative and has an affinity for building relationships across teams including business partners, external agencies, and vendors
