In this role, you will manage day-to-day tasks for email marketing campaigns. This includes, but is not limited to scheduling and deploying emails, analyzing metrics and working with stakeholders to create efficient and impactful campaigns.

• Manage email newsletter calendars and marketing communications to ensure creative deploys on time
• Test and optimize email metrics, including unsubscribes, open rates, CTR, landing pages and conversions
• Light copyediting and proofreading; attention to detail is a must for this role
• Develops online as well as offline campaigns (such as contests and sweeps at The Times' signature events) to drive more customers to register with
• Train and evangelize the best practices for digital community and engagement across the company
• Collaborate with sales, events, creative, to launch cross-channel campaigns to acquire new email subscribers
• Helps act as a resource and educator for newsletters and e-mail marketing within the company
• Report regularly on campaign performance

• BS/BA in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field
• 2-3 years managing newsletter or marketing campaigns, or similar digital experience
• Results-oriented; knowledge of Web metrics and analytics programs a plus
• Basic HTML knowledge
• Familiarity with ESPs or content management systems a plus
• Significant problem-solving, people and organizational management skills
• Experience managing CRM, SMS and push notification communications a plus and a desire to learn required!
