Email Marketing/CRM Coordinator

A global hair care and color brand is looking for a passionate, bright and energetic digital candidate to join the Integrated Communications team, responsible for all Matrix owned digital channels. The role requires the ability to strategize and execute the best proactive and reactive digital programs to meet Matrix’s objectives. Candidate must be outgoing, have strong writing, research, creativity and innovation, analytical and presentation skills, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment to successfully bring projects to life. Digital Media and E-commerce experience integral for the role.

This position reports to the Director of Digital Integrated Marketing and works closely with the Assistant Manager of Digital Integrated Marketing and interfaces regularly with the PR and Media team. This is a contract-to-hire position, so the team is interested in talent, who are looking for long-term/permanent positions.

Overall Responsibilities
- Support Digital team in areas of CRM & e-commerce, working cross functionally internally as well as with external partners. Maintain and enhance processes where applicable and ensure CRM/e-commerce strategy is being upheld, adjusting as necessary based on results.
 Assists in the development of the monthly e-mail calendar, developing strategies and objectives for each individual communication
 Creates strategic briefs in support of all email and e-commerce requests
 Partners closely with creative resources to ensure marketing materials are created and delivered on time
 Supports monthly customer segmentation plans for email campaigns from planning through reporting phases
 Develops a working knowledge of ExactTarget (now called Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and provides assistance with email execution
 Supports test and learning agenda around customer segmentation, offer and creative formats and optimization of CRM programs
 Conducts regular A/B testing for audiences, content and timing in partnership with MovableInk leveraging the Salesforce Marketing Cloud (formerly ExactTarget platform)
 Laises with our e-commerce partners
o Monthly adjustments to the Matrix storefronts on SalonCentric, BGS, ULTA to showcase new promotions and products to drive sales
o Project management of digital initiatives to drive sales and engagement on Matrix storefronts

 Manages our CRM database including the collection and maintenance of accurate and current data

 Performs data clean up including the addition, removal and editing of contact data to maintain accuracy

Project Management
 Manages our CRM & promotion calendars and makes adjustments when needed
 Briefing all campaigns in partnership with internal and external stakeholders
 Communicates project plan and action items to corresponding teams and manages timeline and secures launch dates for campaigns
 Manages creative approval process
 Responsible for quality assurance process

Customer Relationship Management & E-Commerce Coordinator
 Provides project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends

Customer Service
 Manage leads generated by trade partners

 Evaluates ongoing campaigns for ROI by reporting on performance metrics
 Partners with the digital media agencies and vendor partners to collect campaign metrics
 Leverages self-serve reporting tools (Google Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud - formerly ExactTarget etc.)
 Collects and analyzes customer data to detect trends and improve service

Ad Hoc Projects
 Keeps current on the latest industry trends in CRM & E-commerce and participate in brainstorming sessions


 Bachelor’s Degree required
 Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs
 Project Management experience
 Experience in multi-channel retail industry, a plus
 Google Analytics experience
 Hands on Salesforce Marketing Cloud (formerly ExactTarget) experience required
 Detail oriented
 Communicates clearly and succinctly in both oral and written forms
 Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
 Proactive and results oriented thinker who would flourish in an entrepreneurial environment where new ideas are championed.
