Email Marketing Specialist

The role of the Email Marketing Contractor is to support marketing programs and initiatives through campaign execution and tactical support. These marketing initiatives are critical to the success of the email program and its ability to deliver on a merchandising strategy aligned with customer purchase preferences online and in store.

We are looking for an experienced email marketing campaign production guru, a multi-tasking self-starter with strong project management, analytical, and communication skills. The right candidate is also extremely detail oriented regardless of deadlines. In this role, you will be working with a diverse group of individuals – creative designers to merchants/data analysts to our email service provider.

Job Responsibilities: Campaign Planning, Execution, and Reporting –
• Owner of the campaign production process for select promotional email campaigns. Organizing all production assets between the internal teams and with our Email Service Provider (ESP)
• Communication and collaboration with internal teams/vendors across all stages of campaign development from planning to deployment
• Creator of internal email creative brief documentation for internal Agency, facilitator of feedback and change request management across for proofs prior to deployment
• Juggle multiple projects at any one time, oftentimes, managing milestones and deadlines with ability to prioritize as well as adjust course if business requires
• Escalation of issues impacting production cycle dependencies, timelines, and/or budget
• Campaign reporting – Experience with email service provider landscape platforms and reporting systems
• Subject matter expert on your campaign – distributing and communicating results/best practices internally on an ongoing basis
The success of the role is highly dependent upon a candidate who can balance the planning and execution responsibility with ongoing focus to change, using learnings and best practices to evolve the Staples email program.

Basic: 1-3 Years’ experience

Preferred:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Previous email marketing campaign production experience, knowledge of email production lifecycle; third party provider platforms such as Responsys, CheetahMail, or ExactTarget recommended (includes understanding of key email industry performance indicators)
• Ability to think on feet and work independently to plan and execute complex email marketing programs and deliver against goals. Previous email marketing campaign production experience is highly recommended
• Proficiency in marketing and program analysis
• Energetic and collaborative team player with the ability to motivate others. Ability to succeed in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize to meet aggressive goals and timelines
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
