Email Marketing Specialist

Our Fortune 1000 client is looking to hire an email specialist for a contract-to-hire role offering full benefits.

Summary of role:

The day-to-day, hands-on execution of email marketing programs through our email service provider platform (Oracle l Responsys). This includes ownership of the setup, maintenance and review of recurring and triggered email communications for our business units. Additionally, this individual stays up-to-date with email marketing best practices and applies them to the execution of email campaigns.

Responsibilities

Leverage email marketing tools to develop transactional, promotional, and informational content strategies that maximize conversion, customer retention and acquisition
Performs day-to-day email marketing activities including, but not limited to, email creation, campaign set-up, scheduling, testing, tagging and deployment of one-time, recurring, triggered and dynamic content-driven campaigns.
Troubleshoots technical issues related to HTML templates, list segmentation and other aspects of email execution, as required.
Collaborate with design and direct marketing leads to create top-performing email creative in an effort to improve deliverability, reduce spam complaints and increase open and click- thru rates
Stays abreast of and recommends email marketing best practices.
Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM regulations
Assist in developing direction, strategy and tactics for email marketing programs
Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and maintain email calendar
Ensure that stakeholders are kept fully informed of relevant campaign status, issues and progress
Proactively track, monitor, analyze and optimize campaign performance
Performs other related duties as assigned such as builds campaign landing pages, content management (CMS)

Requirements

2 – 3 years online marketing-specific experience with a minimum 1 year demonstrated success in email marketing from concept to completion
Demonstrated success in contributing to high volume integrated email marketing programs for consumer audiences
Results-driven with exceptional detail and knowledge around metrics, specifically A/B testing, KPI tracking and ROI analysis
Hands on experience with an enterprise level email delivery system, preference: Oracle l Responsys experience
A strong understanding- of email concepts including segmentation and automation
Thorough understanding and working knowledge of HTML and CSS
Competency in Adobe Creative Suite
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
Excellent project management, time management, prioritization and problem solving skills
Highly attentive to detail with strong organizational and communication skills
