Email Marketing Specialist

Our Fortune 500 Financial Services client is looking for an experienced Email Marketing Specialist, to support all aspects of the email channel, spanning operations, analysis, and internal/external relationship management, with a focus on campaign execution. The specialist will also ensure that all campaigns integrate with the respective marketing strategies and ensure the integrity of the company brand in all email programs.

Main Focus Areas:
1-Production Management:
• Effectively manage email marketing production schedules from conception through development and execution.
• Focus on copy and creative-email template development.
• Partner with agency and internal clients in the planning and testing of all email elements.
• Unit test email components prior to deployment.

2-Reporting and Analytics:
• Leverage reporting tools to keep relevant internal stakeholders apprised of email marketing program performance.
• Analyze results from email marketing campaigns on both an event and longitudinal basis and use insights to inform and develop future strategies.
• Manage and report on channel performance and KPIs

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent experience

Technical Skills:
• Demonstrated knowledge of customer segmentation and testing techniques, with a track record of successful strategic application
• Strong understanding of email marketing operations, technology, and platforms
• Demonstrated knowledge of HTML

Special Requirements for the job:
• Basic understanding of web environments, such as landing pages that form part of the email channel ecosystem.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
• Experience with email technology vendor (ExactTarget)
• Has knowledge in email regulations and privacy rules.
• Experience in project management, planning, and process improvement, as well as problem analysis and resolution experience at both a strategic and functional level is preferred.
• Communication - Excellent written and verbal communication, including strong editing, grammar and proofreading skills; good listener.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with some project management experience.
• Keep track of multiple projects and progress of others on team.
• Critical Thinking
• Possess critical thinking, analytical and creative talent to develop a concept, idea, fact or content into a strong visual presentation that maximizes communications / sales effectiveness.
• Problem solving and follow-through.
• Demonstrated track record of driving results in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and ambiguous environment
• Ability to leverage limited resources to optimal results

Experience:
• At least 3-5 years’ experience in email marketing.
