Email Marketing Specialist--contract to hire, with start date asap!

What will you be doing?

  • Emphasis on strategic planning and day-to-day management of company's email and SMS/MMS marketing programs, including message planning, ESP tool, coordinating and routing creative, advanced segmentation, journey building, drip campaigns, list hygiene, A/B testing, abandonment, optimization, scheduling, template setup, and weekly reporting. 

  • Manage day-to-day SMS/MMS marketing communication platform, including message planning, and sends and commerce integration (order tracking, pre-sale invites, etc). Work in collaboration with marketing and event teams to integrate SMS messaging into various brand initiatives and events.

  • Plan and manage email/SMS messaging and content calendars. Plan all sends against promotions and merchandising efforts in collaboration with e-commerce, digital marketing, brand marketing, and Go-To-Market teams.

  • Collaborate with lead digital designer and merchandiser to build email content themes and storytelling against seasonal trends and marketing campaigns. 

  • Own the end-to-end customer lifecycle, overseeing, and developing various touchpoints within the customer journey – Reactivation, win back, cart abandonment, post-purchase, transactional, ratings and reviews, etc.

  • Implement advanced segmentation strategy that encompasses various customer profiles and triggers based on prior purchase or engagement history (product interest, brand affinity, gender, and sport segmentation).

  • Partner with Acquisition Manager to develop email and SMS database growth strategy. Provide support for website HTML acquisition forms, retail acquisition integration, etc.

  • Test, optimize and manipulate responsive HTML email templates from design files (Photoshop document) to current industry best practices.

  • Provide weekly reporting, analytics, and actionable insights to internal and executive teams. 

  • Provide thought leadership and assistance with vendor selection of global ESP tool.

  • Ensure consistency and adherence to marketing communications and brand standards.

  • Ensure all 3rd party relationships are maximized to full potential for company.

  • Actively participate in strategic and tactical planning to drive growth.

  • Must have extensive working and management experience with Marketo.

  • Magento experience is a plus.

  • Manage Ad-Hoc projects as they occur.


Who is the ideal candidate?

  • 3 to 5 years experience of strategic planning & management of Email & SMS/MMS marketing programs.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Marketo experience is a plus.
