Email Marketing Program Manager

Leading eCommerce client is looking for an email marketing manager. As part of the Relationship Marketing team, this role will be responsible for driving buyer activity by delivering relevant offers across website and Email Marketing channels. This role will focus on creating innovative, results-oriented email marketing programs that focus on driving incremental purchases for one of the clients verticals.


Ideally candidates will have 3+ years of email marketing experience OR 4+ years of overall marketing experience with email marketing responsibilities. Candidates should have a history of developing strong creative and messaging, lead cross functional teams of designers, copy writers and traffickers and understand effective targeting. Candidate should also be comfortable playing a consultative role, able to explain email marketing best practices.

The role of the email manager will be:

- Execute email marketing campaigns with third-party email marketing agency
- Developing high impact email marketing programs driven by consumer insights and business strategy
- Leading the development and publishing of new merchandising content
- Leading ongoing program management and optimization
- Partnering with cross-functional teams to define and deliver on a program’s business needs
- Generating and distributing actionable business insight to inform future email marketing plans
- Identifying merchandising opportunities for priority Verticals by tracking top products and seasonal trends

Job Requirements - BA/BS degree required, preferably with a Marketing or Communications focus
- 1+ years of Email Marketing
- Strategic thinker, with an ability to develop data-driven product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
- Experience working with an email marketing vendor a plus
- Strong project management skills with an ability to multi-task and manage rapidly changing priorities
- Strong analytic skills with a proven aptitude for compiling, communicating, and driving results
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and innovatively
- Fun, highly energetic personality; great team player

-Good relationship management skills (I.e. Can work cross functionally and with strategic partners).
-Strong communicator.
-Analytical – can take results, create learning and action upon them.
- Education: Bachelors Degree required

Role will be on a new team executing regular campaigns and working closely with a third-party email agency,YesMail. Experience with email mktg agency or service provider a must. Channel vertical experience (collectibles) a plus.
This is more of an executionary role than strategic.

HTML exp is a plus, but not necessary. We will need someone dedicated, hard-working, familiar with the email channel (recent experience a must) and able to execute on tight deadlines. Obviously communication & time management skills are extremely important in this role.
