Email Marketing Manager – Job Description 

Our National Non-Profit Client seeks an eager, experienced e-mail marketing team player with a "can do" attitude who enjoys a fast-paced environment to execute email campaigns regarding issues of priority to the organization. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing, executing and optimizing a range of email campaigns with the goal of growing relevance, impact and revenue. He/she will work closely with internal stakeholders, and he/she will be a primary contact for external agencies who work with our Organization with respect to email channel management and execution. 

Description: 
• Development and implementation of email campaigns to achieve agreed upon objectives for multiple business units within organization. 
• The role includes test planning and execution to optimize campaigns. 
• Activity work to ensure the health of the email data as well as the growth of the email list. 
• Identify tactics to convert non-responders to active users 
• Identify and recommend opportunities for improved segmentation and targeted marketing, especially through the use of triggered email. 
• Coordinate with email channel managers to calendar all activity to meet desired execution dates, maximize the audience, and minimize conflict. 
• Oversee campaign budgets and project utilization rates. 
• Develop customer journey maps to articulate the intended customer experience. 
• Monitor list quality. 
• Be a champion of email governance and strict adherence to data management best practices. 
• Ensure email is aligned with Brand voice. 
• Work with constituents to implement email campaigns and obtain necessary approvals from stakeholders including legal. 
• Liaise with internal groups on their promotional needs and to identify opportunities for furthering focus on diversity and inclusion. 
• Analyze and report on email campaign performance on a weekly and monthly basis. Identify trends and opportunities for improved open, click thru and conversion rates. 
• Work with product management and IT services to improve email subscription processes and other on-site improvements to facilitate list growth. 
• Develop “shelf-ready” processes for business units to be able to execute their goals via email. 
• Experience with dynamic templates and Salesforce Marketing Cloud (aka ExactTarget), preferred. 
• Monitor agency performance and look for areas of improvement. 
• Other projects, as assigned. 
• This is not a technical or administrative position. No web programming required. 

Requirements: 
• BA/BS in marketing or related field preferred. 
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience executing email and direct response campaigns in a marketing/advertising agency or corporate marketing department. 
• Ability to consistently meet program goals and hit performance metrics if not exceed them. 
• Strong understanding of digital and email communication strategies -- both written and visual, deliverability, and segmentation practices. 
• Strong analytical and technical skills, including experience using email distribution and reporting applications. 
• Excellent project management and Microsoft office skills. 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
• Able to multi task in a high paced fluid environment while ensuring deliverables are met within assigned deadlines.
