Email Marketing Manager

We’re looking for a B2B marketing automation rock-star to temporarily join our global marketing team. This role will report to the Sr. US Merchant Acquisition and Retention Marketing Manager and will be responsible for executing campaigns in Marketo and maintaining the US Marketo database. This role is one part campaign strategist and executioner and one part Marketo admin. Primary Responsibilities
The Marketing Automation Manager is responsible for supporting the US Merchant Acquisition and Retention Marketing team by helping maintain our existing marketing automation tool and assisting the team with the execution of marketing campaigns. Team will look to this role for strategic guidance on how to best use marketing automation to support marketing goals. This role will own and manage the US Marketo workspace and will serve as both a strategic consultant and as an executioner for marketing campaigns.

Scope includes:
•       Leverage marketing automation tool to execute marketing campaigns to drive demand and help engage our existing customers.
•       Work with agency to design and create landing page and email templates; follow best practices and implement A/B testing to ensure all templates are optimized for performance.
•       Manage intake of new leads; develop processes and guidelines for list import to ensure database integrity, query lead lists, and cleanse lead lists prior to import.
•       Develop and manage database hygiene campaigns.
•       Develop standardized reports to measure team performance and identify areas for optimization.
•       Implement tracking mechanisms and manage lead attribution model; develop and manage process to ensure all leads are properly tracked and that all relevant data is available in Salesforce.
•       Create scalable processes that ensure best practices in campaign setup, conversion, nurturing and database management
•       Build campaign templates that will allow team to self-serve and easily scale campaigns.
•       Own lead scoring campaigns; partner with sales to ensure the highest quality leads are being surfaced to sales.
•       Develop and assist with training other teams how to use Marketo; help other teams troubleshoot marketing automation problems.
•       Train sales team on how to use Marketo Sales Insight (MSI), troubleshoot any issues, and work with sales and Business Operations to develop reporting necessary for sales management to measure sales team productivity.
•       Maintain and manage all operational level programs in Marketo.
•       Work with Partner Marketing Manager to strategize and implement partner marketing campaigns.
•       Work with Product Marketing Manager to develop email campaigns and landing pages to support new product launches.
•       Work closely with Sales and Business Ops to ensure sales reps are following agreed upon processes that allow marketing to execute effective campaigns; make process improvement recommendations when necessary.
•       Stay in close communication with Business Ops to ensure marketing has all the necessary tools and plugins to be successful.

Additional Responsibilities
•       Assist EU and Japan team with troubleshoot marketing automation issues. Provide training upon request.
•       Serve as the resident marketing automation expert.
•       Develop and maintain library of Marketo training videos and tutorials.

Key Capabilities:
•       Deep knowledge or marketing automation tools.
•       Experience working with a marketing automation tool (preferably Marketo) and using Salesforce.com to track campaign ROI.
•       Deep knowledge of landing page and email marketing best practices.
•       Experience working with sales teams to improve efficiencies through the use of marketing automation.
•       Deep knowledge of business-to-business marketing methods, tools and strategies; ability to plan, develop and execute complex multi-channel campaigns that drive merchant engagement, registration and launch.
•       Deep knowledge of digital marketing best practices – experience with SEM, display advertising, and social will be helpful.
•       Creative problem solver with experience developing content and providing feedback and requirements for creative development.
•       Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate credible forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs.
•       Strengths in problem solving and issue-resolution, ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
•       Outstanding skills at initiating, managing and growing strategic relationships with customers, vendors and internal stakeholders.
•       Team-oriented, with the ability to work with and influence others in remote organizations.

EXPERIENCE
Proactive, independent and flexible with solid communications skills, the successful candidate will have a strong customer focus, and extensive experience in B2B marketing automation. The candidate must have demonstrated sound business judgment and be able to think strategically about a quickly growing business while at the same time have the analytical ability and intelligence to dive into the tactical details. The candidate will ideally have experience with a rapidly growing a business. Note: This is an individual contributor role, but one with significant responsibility and room for growth.
