In the Small Business Segment Marketing team, we help small business owners start, run and grow their businesses by providing them the right tools, education and connection to trusted advisors, exactly how and when they need them. As the Marketing Manager, Customer Communications (Contract role), you will work in conjunction with the Senior Marketing Manager, Customer Communications and partner with the customer and product marketers to deliver clear and timely promotional, instructional, relationship-development, and product messages to our Small Business and Accountant customer bases.

You will work closely with external and internal partners to ensure customer expectations are met and that we are consistently delivering amazing communications. You will ensure our direct response campaigns will function with other marketing channels to deliver an optimal end to end customer experience, and also lead with customer insights to superbly execute integrated marketing campaigns – while setting goals, tracking performance and constantly improving outcomes along the way.


Primary responsibilities:
Responsible for the execution of timely and clear communication to our Accounting Professional & Small Business Customers

• Execute on marketing activities driven through our marketing automation platforms (Eloqua and Pardot) to drive growth in customer acquisition and deliver amazing experiences to our customer
• Develop, manage and update customer communications calendar
• Support Senior Marketing Manager to work jointly with Customer & Product Marketing Managers on email marketing campaign planning and delivery, with a process to hand off to a sales channel
• Build and maintain a professional relationship with marketing peers by responding to marketing briefs and managing creative under direction of Senior Marketing Manager and product/customers marketing leads & GTM team
• Initiate jobs with Agency and ensure creative adheres to brand guidelines and aligns with strategic objectives and deliverables outlined. Ensure campaigns exhibit email best practices and are designed with a clear call-to-action.
• Ensure all creative assets are supplied, built to spec, on schedule, within budget, and comply with legal and brand standards, including CASL compliance
• Manage workflow and relationship across agency, internal creative resources and marketing team counterparts
• Provide results and learnings in post campaign review with segment marketing lead; leverage learnings to optimize future campaigns.

Qualifications
• 7+years’ experience working in or with marketing teams, with direct experience on communication strategies
• Hands-on experience and knowledge of marketing campaign management
• Significant marketing automation experience (technical experience with Eloqua and Pardot an asset)
• Working knowledge of CASL regulations
• Effective and efficient at operating independently and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong project management skills
• Detail-oriented and ability to stay organized; ability to organize and deliver on multiple simultaneous campaigns
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
