You are analytical and detail-oriented, with a strong interest in the role of emails within digital marketing. You are signed up to be on various email lists out of sheer curiosity for what companies are doing, and why they are doing it. You love to see results and analyze, with a desire to always be improving.

Our Sports client is a company with 12 brands under its roof – these are their “clients”. The Internet Services Department supports these brands with a family of more than 30 global websites, all produced and maintained in-house. The Email Marketing Coordinator will collaborate with the marketing, eCommerce, web department, and our designers to help oversee the build and deployment of a variety of email marketing campaigns. As we work with so many brands, each with their own unique voice and demographics, we are looking for someone who can adapt their ideas and desires to fit the personality of that brand’s campaigns. Outdoor/winter industry knowledge is not required but considered a huge plus.

  • Collaborate with Marketing and eCommerce persons for each of our 10 brands to fill in monthly email calendar and ensure staying on-track with deliverables
  • Build and test emails before they are sent, being held accountable for bugs or typos
  • Coordinate creative assets for emails
  • Construct emails within our ESP using HTML/CSS
  • Work ahead of schedule and alongside Web Project Manager to see that required landing pages are in place when needed
  • List building: list cleaning and segmenting exercises
  • Actively work to ensure email campaigns are impactful and accurately tracked
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging web technologies, to investigate and know what is considered a “best practice” regarding email marketing
  • Oversee creative development of new email templates and redesign of existing templates, to ensure the adherence to best practices, optimization of deliverability, and look and feel
  • Analytical mindset: you will be instrumental in creating and sending reports communicating email performance
  • Build on knowledge of our current email activities and our audiences to discover ways to grow our lists organically

  • 1-3 years experience in marketing and/or email marketing
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS, preferably with experience specific to emails
  • Must be organized, independent, and able to switch rapidly between different projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Can make your way around a PSD within Photoshop
  • Knowledge of campaign building and tracking
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Team player attitude a must
