Email Marketing Campaign Email Manager

Job Purpose/Role
Responsible for managing the email marketing program for both B2C and B2B to
achieve acquisition and retention campaign goals. Build a best-in-class digital
marketing program through automation and campaign optimization utilizing best
practices in template design and messaging for key customer segments.
Key Responsibilities
Email Program
Develop the email marketing plan to achieve overall B2C and B2B revenue
goals and program objectives
Manage the execution of the acquisition and retention email marketing
strategies, which includes:
Setting campaign goals and objectives
Writing creative briefs to guide the development of new email content, including
templates, imagery and messaging; and, ensuring that the final email asset
meets campaign objectives and incorporates industry best practices
Submitting email content to Compliance to ensure it complies with regulatory
standards and CAN-SPAM
Testing (A/B & MVT) email creative content and list segmentation to determine
most effective execution
Monitoring, tracking and reporting email performance metrics (i.e. open rates,
click-through rates and conversion rates) to key stakeholders
Analyzing performance data and making recommendations for improved
performance
Manage the relationship with list brokers to ensure the quality of acquisition
email lists and to identify and test new list opportunities
Develop customer segmentation for personalization and remarketing strategy
Develop testing roadmap for improved email optimization
Evaluate opportunities for email automation and implement for improved
efficiencies
Work closely with the Call Center to coordinate outbound calls for the B2C
annual product renewal program in order to grow the rate of repeat purchase
Manage the trigger email program throughout the customer lifecycle to maximize
sales, including on-going tests of new copy and delivery timing; and, monitoring
and reporting of results
Coordinate the execution and monitoring of the monthly newsletters for both
B2C and B2B, including selection of articles
Collaborate with the B2B marketing team to provide expertise on email
marketing and to support the achievement of their email marketing goals
Evaluate new opportunities to evolve the email program and ensure that it is
best-in-class (i.e. automation and performance tracking capabilities)
Conduct periodic deep dive reviews of the email program and present findings to
key stakeholders, such as SLT and Market Management
Be the email subject matter expert and remain current on the latest trends & best
practices
Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Master's degree strongly preferred
Five (5) plus years of relevant experience in direct marketing/marketing strategy
ideally in a regulated industry, financial or insurance industry is preferred
Expertise with Silverpop email marketing platform strongly preferred
Experience with campaign management including list rental, segmentation,
development of house files, campaign creative asset development, testing,
statistical significance testing, reporting and analysis including, but not limited to,
match back processes.
Proficiency with a variety of other enterprise technologies including PeopleSoft
modules that are used by the company, Microsoft office, and Cognos.
Strong analytical and communication skills
Experience working with various internal stakeholders, including marketing
leadership, sales, implementation, finance, operations, product and creative
services teams
Additional Information
Office environment with moderate noise.
Position is routinely expected to travel 5% of time.
