Email Marketing Associate Contractor

One of our forward thinking Fortune 500 financial service clients is in need of an Email Marketing professional to join their Customer Engagement Team whose mission is to deepen engagement and drive incremental value for their high-potential Small Business Owner Card Members by focusing on inspiring spend among new Card Members. This is an exciting opportunity to transform the early engagement customer experience through strategic email initiatives to drive measurable revenue growth.

In this position, you will help the Manager play a lead role in transforming and enhancing the customer experience and marketing treatments for Card Members from the point of approval up until their first 15 months of tenure. The communication in these campaigns include educating customer of product value, benefits, how reward points work and where they can be redeemed.

Key Responsibilities:

This individual will work closely with many cross-functional partners, including Product Management, Technologies, Marketing Capabilities, and Creative Agencies.
• Execute “test and learn” A/B Testing emails that will integrate new digital touch points to inspire and enable high levels of spending for new customers. Work with customer marketing capabilities team and email deployment team/vendor to ensure end-to-end flawless execution. There are approximately 400,000 new card members in this audience and 7 email campaigns with a goal to increase this number.
• Work with Manager to set email content, segmentation, creative, and execution strategy and goals.
• Project manage the creative process from internal approvals (legal, creative, marketing)..
• Reporting: analyze email data to assess channel performance and compile customer insights to be leveraged to enhance the early engagement strategy and how to improve strategy for ongoing campaigns.
• Conduct external competitive research and benchmarking that will drive the ideation and support of new transformation initiatives.

Required Skills/Qualifications:
• The client shared the following ‘soft skills’ are incredibility important in the candidates she will interview: “Driven with a strong desire to excel, Excellent GPA (in college), Professional presentation as well as well-rounded extra curricular involvement outside of work”
• 1-3 years of relevant work experience, Bachelor degree required, business or marketing
• Superior attention to detail to ensure end-to-end flawless execution. Meridian/Nexus expert a plus; proficient in Excel and Omniture.
• Very focused on the customer and client; excited and passionate about creating great experiences
• The ideal candidate will have exceptional analytical skills (including superior attention to detail), an aptitude for broader, strategic thinking, and who is an excellent collaborator/communicator.
• Project Management/Organization Skills, Data Analysis, and Email Execution Experience (if possible)
