Email Marketing Associate

A top Financial company is looking for an Email Production specialist to join their growing team. This role is accountable for the development and delivery of email marketing initiatives for our client’s organization. Responsibilities include orchestration and delivery of tailored email marketing materials to support Distributed Sales initiatives and new product launches, and track overall email performance using marketing automation tools. (Marketo, Eloqua etc.)

The Associate will be responsible for all aspects of Email marketing communication from setup, to testing, to launch, to post deployment analysis, and to optimization.
The Associate is also responsible for working with other team members to plan and execute multiple email campaigns per day under rigorous deadlines in a fast paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities include:
• Develop and execute email marketing strategies and tactics for acquisition and lifecycle management programs. Pro-actively identify and implement opportunities for program and process improvements.
• Develop tests and learn strategies that will dramatically elevate targeting, segmentation, and personalization practices
• Oversee list segmentation strategies to increase engagement and retention and to get the right message to the right person at the right time.
• Support the database marketing team in the development of email marketing campaigns including planning, producing, segmenting, A/B testing, deployment, reporting and optimization.
• Manage and implement an e-mail marketing calendar that aligns appropriately and logically with other program marketing initiatives.
• Research email industry trends make recommendations and implement solutions to enhance demand gen and nurture programs.
• Monitor email reputation and deliverability. Track & optimize campaigns based on deliverability & unsubscribe rate
• Optimize existing campaigns with frequent multi-variant a/b testing of subject lines, click thru, time of send, & content
• Demonstrated track record of productive A/B testing and using third-party systems (such as Marketo, Omniture or Tableau) to track and report on email campaigns
• Recommend improvements to email user experience by customer cohort based on campaign objectives, send frequency, drip campaigns, and email creative
• Manage and develop email testing roadmap
• Analyze email campaign results including audience, messaging, creative, deliverability, open rates, click through rates and conversion
• Manage email project workflow - develop schedules, manage team to deadlines, work with merchandizing team to select key items, write creative briefs, and gather approvals
• Communicate email strategies and plans to email and marketing automation vendor for proper implementation
• Share email program insights and recommendations with key internal partners for ongoing optimization
• Be a dynamic contributor to the database marketing team who has energy, enthusiasm, and an ongoing commitment to achieving high quality results
• Assess all email creative to ensure messages are compliant with our email content policies
• Quality assurance/flawless execution to ensure that the creative, copy, and links are correct
• Maintain awareness of email marketing trends, best practices, technologies, CAN-SPAM laws
• Assist in new marketing projects/initiatives as necessary
• Work with other departments to support marketing efforts
• Provide information regarding email marketing initiatives
• Fill ad-hoc requests on an ongoing basis
• Report on subscriber list growth and health
• Detailed and timely completion of additional special projects
• Track and analyze daily, weekly, & monthly Email KPI’s & report recommendations & summaries to executive team
• Forecast churns, product-take rate, reactivations, and upsells based on email send and conversion rates
• Ensure email messaging is 100% accessible to everyone on both web and mobile.
• Manage schedule of deployment to optimize user response and actively manage email lists.
• Knowledge of landing page best practices and experience conceiving of and testing on-site content
• Create behavior based triggers using browsing behavior, segmentation, and customer lifecycle events
• Provide standardized email channel KPIs on a weekly basis
• Support the analytics team in creating email reporting dashboards and custom reports analyzing campaign performance, list engagement, multiple tests and data filters all the while leveraging key insights.

Skills and Experience:
•BA required.
•Minimum of 3 years’ experience in email production.
•Key competencies include expertise in email programming and production project management. Experience producing email programs for investment products such as mutual funds, SMAs, CEFs, ETFs, equity, fixed income, alternatives and hedge funds at a leading asset management firms(e. g. Legg Mason, MFS, PIMCO, T. Rowe Price, Franklin Templeton) targeted to Intermediaries-IBD, Wirehouses, Institutional and DC channels is desirable.
•Proven recent experience proficiently working with marketing automation or ESP tools such as Marketo, Eloqua, Exact Target or Silverpop.
•Expert familiarity in email design using CSS and responsive design, HTML programming, CAN-SPAM, CASL, list and suppression rules for effective email delivery and white listing.
•S/he is a maverick at best practices in email development, including responsive design and A/B testing.
•Proficient using Dreamweaver (HTML) or other programming language.
•Data- driven individual with emphasis on test-learn-refine.
•Outstanding project management and written and oral communications skills.
•Demonstrated ability to manage changing requirements and short timelines a plus.
•Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
