Our client is looking for a temp to perm Email Director to work on-site at their office located in Woodland Hills.

The Email Director ensures email strategies and goals set by C-level management are executed timely, accurately, and on-brand. Oversees high volume of pre-sale, trade and automated (trigger) email campaigns; assists with other emails across company as needed to ensure consistency of brand messaging, content and visuals.

Main Responsibilities:
- As directed by SVP Marketing and VP Marcom, carries out email strategies and goals
- Daily, directly manages email team to: 1) maintain/communicate schedules; 2) rapidly respond to changing email content/send needs; 3) ensure adherence to brand standards (visual and copy); 4) recruit, train and manage team 5) ensure email is on brand, accurate and timely executed.
- Oversees Email Program Manager to ensure timely dissemination of accurate pre-sale email campaign schedule. Compiles and maintains master email calendar including these and trigger campaigns.
- Ensures adherence to corporate Style Guide
- Supports other departments with timely, accurate email builds and deployment as needed
- Develops strategy and automated (trigger) email campaigns
- Assists at level needed with booked-not-departed (BND) emails
- Coordinates with Database (DB) team and email vendor (Responsys) to maximize utility of Responsys system

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience overseeing email marketing campaigns including development and level of hands-on build/deployment/technical involvement sufficient to troubleshoot
- Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with Responsys email campaign system (or similar), including heavy involvement in strategy and creation of 1:1 variable data and auto-triggered campaigns
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); Tridion or similar CMS; Photoshop and computer/technical skills sufficient to easily execute job and drive email system improvements; ability and willingness to learn additional software as needed to execute position.
- Exceptional management and team-building skills: ability and willingness to recruit, hire, train, coach and fire team as needed to create a superior in-house and freelance team
- Organizational skills, drive, and ability to manage multiple projects at once, meeting deadlines; willingness/ability to accommodate frequent changes with aplomb
- Positive attitude and outstanding communication abilities sufficient to interact at the C-level
