Email Associate Marketing Manager

The Email Associate Manager will drive the day-to-day execution of email campaigns conducted by this customer. Campaigns include promotional emails and triggered campaigns. This position will
also assist in the strategic development of the overall email program, email campaign analysis, develop and maintain a competitor library, and manage ad hoc email projects as needed.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
 Drive day-to-day execution of 30-40 monthly email campaigns. Campaign execution includes, but not limited to, campaign request forms, calendar updates, creative brief development and creative feedback, asset release documentation, verifying appropriate tracking analytics tags, etc.
 Maintain cross-functional partnerships with Marketing Communications, Loyalty, eCom, creative teams and external partners to coordinate offers, email content and linking, as needed
 Own the post-release proofing process – QA and approve all email campaigns to ensure that the creative, copy and functionality are correct; provide final approval on audience counts and ensure that audiences are built to the requested specifications
 Perform detailed email analysis including test results
 Manage and execute ad hoc email projects as assigned
 Proactively identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness of email marketing programs or processes from in-depth knowledge of campaign management and email execution tools
 Serve as an internal email system and data subject matter expert
 Track competitive email activity weekly
 Responsible for weekly reporting
 Responsible for maintaining email archive with results

Job Requirements:
 1 – 3 years of experience in email marketing, preferably in an omni-channel retail environment
 Email deployment experience
 Strong understanding of email marketing best practices and industry trends
 Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
 Strong project management skills
 Experience building Excel-based reports that provide critical business insights
 Experience using Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access)
 Excellent team player with the ability to bring innovative ideas to the organization
 Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
 Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, team-oriented work environment
 Excellent troubleshooting skills and critical thinking skills
 Knowledge of current standards and web development techniques (W3C standards) preferred
 Knowledge of cross-browser and email environments (Firefox, IE, Netscape, AOL) preferred
 Some knowledge of HTML and experience writing SQL are a plus
 Strong understanding of relational databases, data structures and querying language preferred
 Prior experience with campaign management tools a plus (e.g. CampaignRunner, Unica, Aprimo, Alteryx, etc…)
 BA or BS Degree or equivalent
