Email Analyst

As a part of the Digital Marketing Team, the Email Analyst works very closely with brand managers and the creative team. The Email Analyst is responsible for assessing and reporting on email activity and performance, and initiating improvements to our email program.

80% of the time is focused on email, while 20% of the time is focused on customer segmentation analysis for other digital marketing efforts including display and paid search.

The role has 3 focus areas:
(1) Customer Segmentation Analysis
Understand different customer segments in our email programs
Build historical customer segment response results and reporting utilizing a multi channel view
Recommend content / positioning strategy based on customer insights, order history etc.
Develop and execute customer email segmentation plans and campaigns
Assess customer contact cadence and performance in order to identify segmentation opportunities for optimizing email productivity and customer contact investment
Email A/B Testing
Create statistically valid test and control cells with the intent of gaining increased learnings and improving performance
Conduct A/B tests on the copy, layout, offers and targeting of emails
Identify measures of success, assemble post-test results, and report on the outcome
Create and maintain processes, methodology, documentation and best practices for conducting tests
Reporting and Benchmarks
Establish benchmarks, KPI and forecast results for new and existing email programs
Assemble and present analysis on email activity and performance, campaign effectiveness, and customer engagement
Report on actual email performance vs. KPIs
Create and maintain internal and external email performance benchmarks
Conduct ad-hoc analysis as needed
