Aquent's client, a large tech company headquartered in Mountain View, CA, is seeking a Email & Social Editor for a 7–month assignment in their New York City offices. This assignment is a potential temp to perm opportunity.

This client is at the forefront of a revolution in marketing—a shift from traditional ads to personalized, relevant, and engaging formats. Through their website and other owned channels, they share real-time insights, research, data, and perspectives on the evolving landscape with marketers. With a focus on what’s top of mind for executives at large advertisers and agencies, they aim to help customers understand how they can make the web work for their businesses.

At the heart of their value proposition to large advertisers and agencies is industry-leading content and insights from their unique point of view. We’re looking for an editor to build and lead their email newsletter and social program. You’ll be selecting the content, writing newsletter copy and crafting engaging social posts as well as editing other contributors to ensure the brand voice shines through in channels including email, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. You’ll work alongside email and social program managers who will provide guidance around best practices, track metrics, and lead testing program.

Main Responsibilities:
-Create email newsletters and social posts that drive engagement with existing audiences and acquisition of new users.
-Manage social media presence, including outreach efforts. Drive awareness and engagement by establishing a conversational, accessible brand voice consistent with the overall brand.
-Partner with editorial team to ensure email and social products are consistent with editorial priorities and presenting one unified brand.
-Work with email program manager to establish newsletter cadence and calendar. Select all content for newsletters and determine how to most effectively present it.
-Edit email and social products from other teams that include relevant content.

Required Skills:
Bachelors or Masters degree; MBA in marketing a plus.
3-5+ years experience working in publishing, social media, or content marketing
Demonstrated excellence in writing and editing.
Industry-leading editing and writing skills
Experience communicating complicated stories concisely through text and visuals

Experience working in a cross-functional team, including social media, email marketing, paid media, data analysis, and production
