Our client is looking for a Web Copy Editor to provide editorial support for all facets of written or printed communications, such as print modules; workshop materials, including presentations, participant guides, and facilitator guides; internal documents, such as SOPs and materials for conferences and meetings; and correspondence to and on behalf of clients (including letters, budget and project proposals, meeting agendas and attendee lists, and
status reports). The Copy Editor is also responsible for all aspects of multimedia projects, including proofing scripts for style and accuracy, editing and rewriting content, and reviewing e-learning modules for quality. Most important is an eye for detail, accuracy, and consistency in content and style.

Specific Responsibilities for Storyboards
ƒ Edit storyboards for clarity and consistency without altering scientific or medical meaning of content
ƒ Coordinate edits and revisions to clients’ expectations
ƒ Consult with project managers, programmers, graphic designers, and instructional designers, whenever necessary, to ensure that storyboards comply with brand standards and/or client standards

Specific Responsibilities for Layouts
ƒ Ensure layouts match approved scripts
ƒ Review errors to verify that all changes have been implemented correctly
ƒ Mark up hardcopy or PDF when reviewing a layout
ƒ Update script so that it is current and matches the content in the layout
ƒ Consult with project managers, graphic designers, and instructional designers, whenever necessary, to ensure that layouts comply with brand standards and/or client standards.

Specific Responsibilities for Interactive Programs
ƒ Retro-test all bugs and errors to verify that all changes have been implemented correctly
ƒ Log all bugs and errors found when reviewing an interactive program
ƒ Update storyboard so that it is current and matches the content in the program
ƒ Consult with project managers, programmers, and instructional designers, whenever necessary, to ensure that interactive programs comply with brand standards and/or client standards

Core Experience and Skills
ƒ Bachelor’s degree
ƒ Minimum 3 years’ relevant work experience as an editor/tester
ƒ Knowledge of the AMA Manual of Style and familiarity with medical terminology are essential
ƒ Experience working within an agency that supports pharmaceutical clients, or within a pharmaceutical company, required
ƒ Excellent written, communication, and time management skills
ƒ Able to review and test products in a variety of training formats, including e-learning, audio, video, print manuals, slides, and workshops
ƒ Computer skills, knowledge of internet searches, and proficiency in Microsoft Windows software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
