Editorial Project Manager

Our top education client is looking to hire an Editorial Project Manager for a six month contract with potential to extend, offering full benefits. This person is a key member of the team responsible for managing the content development tasks for math projects. This position calls for a detail-oriented self-starter who is skilled and experienced in the management and coordination of multi-functional project teams, including content and digital development.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage multiple projects, tasks, priorities, and internal expectations.
Coordinate schedules across multiple teams.
Anticipate issues and risks associated with project implementation and work with functional management to develop strategies to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
Implement and maintain a collaborative team environment involving different functional areas.
Work in concert with functional teams, identify and work to implement necessary process adaptations.
Work with content and digital project managers to ensure that content and digital schedules for the program are integrated to the degree that dependencies are identified and resolved in advance.
Effectively summarize and communicate project status to a wide variety of stakeholders. Disseminate such information effectively and efficiently.

Requirements:
Minimum BA/BS in a Project Management, Business Management, Computer Science, Logistics, or education-related discipline.
Experience managing complex projects through all phases of the project lifecycle to a successful conclusion (on time, on budget, benefits delivered).
Familiarity with educational publishing is a plus.
PMP Certification a plus.
Process Management and/or certification a plus.

Skills:
Excellent communication, negotiation, and listening skills: Ability to negotiate a complex organizational structure and drive consensus across stakeholders.
Proficiency in project management applications.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Strong technical, process analysis, documentation and mapping skills.
