Editorial Coordinator

While our client is known for being the world’s leading producer and retailer of digital audiobooks, they also offer a collection of tens of thousands of premium shorter-form spoken-audio programs. The Editorial Coordinator will play a key support role on the Content Programming team working with key internal and external partners to manage ingestion of existing and production of new content, along with research into new content opportunities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

CONTENT PRODUCTION COORDINATION: The Editorial Coordinator coordinates complete and timely metadata and image delivery for all in-house and external productions, works with providers to secure manuscript and production materials and if applicable, works with internal and external partners to create metadata, images, and copy for new or existing productions. The Editorial Coordinator will also assist with editorial review of new audio programs.

MARKETING COORDINATION: The Editorial Coordinator prepares regular status reports for merchandizing and marketing teams. He or she will also attend regular check-in meetings to ensure that Content Creation, Metadata, and Marketing teams are aligned with content release dates and promotion awareness for priority programs.

END TO END CONTENT SUPPORT: The Editorial Coordinator researches to help the content team assess prospective content partners, and works with Content Operations team to ensure correct processing of contracts through to proper and timely onboarding of new partners and ingestion of new content. The Editorial Coordinator will also assist Content Programming team manage flow of titles in and out of content channels.

Candidate should be:
- An avid consumer of online media, including books (audio and digital), websites, blogs, and other digital content sources
- A self-starter with impeccable analytical skills and written / verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Able to thrive in a high-energy, entrepreneurial environment.

Basic Qualifications:
- B.A., B.S., or equivalent degree, preferably in the humanities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Editorial flair and a curative eye to help craft products
- Familiarity with social media and Web-based research tools (e.g., Google)
- Technical proficiency in Windows operating environment
- Fluency in Outlook, Excel, and MS Word
- Able to multi-task and problem-solve in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
- Good presentation skills
- Strong relationship building skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with content management systems
- Experience with professional proofreading, copy-editing, and fact-checking experience in Publishing
- Experience in a web-based publishing environment or media company
- Some data-entry experience
- Some familiarity with database concepts
