Editorial Assistant

Our pharmaceutical client is searching for an Editorial Assistant to join their team on a part-time (20-30 hours/week), contract based assignment.

This position will facilitate the Communications Review Committee review & approval process. This position supports marketing and other key functions within the CRC submission, planning, scheduling, and routing of promotional, educational, and training materials. Additionally, this role assists the Marketing team with the print production, fulfillment, and digital delivery of commercial content.
This individual will be working with Senior Marketing members, Marketing/Brand teams, agency partners, and the CRC reviewers (comprised of Medical, Legal and Regulatory leadership). Collaboration is necessary to work effectively across other key functions within Commercial (i.e. Field Training, Sales, US & Canada Marketing, Global Marketing, Managed Markets, etc.) as well as other key corporate functions (i.e., Med Affairs, Compliance, Corporate Communications, etc.).

Job Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
Workflow coordination
• Coordinate with commercial, ad agencies, and other key vendors
• Pre-edits promotional pieces to align to AMA and internal styles, as well as copyright and trademark information, in addition to general grammar and spelling issues
• Captures required changes/proofreads/certifies documents in support of CRC meetings
• Guides new submitters and agencies on processes and software
• Supports agency partners and vendors to execute production, distribution, and inventory activities
• Communicate with fulfillment center, ad agencies, printers, and other key vendors
• Proofreading and printer proof approval
Reporting/Tracking/Asset Management
• Ensures all documentation and associated components of final approved projects are stored, including printer proofs and final cost documentation


Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Marketing, Advertising, or related discipline, with 2-5 years related experience
• Practical knowledge of creative services, pre-press, print production, and editorial activities
• Understands promotional approval process and requirements for pharmaceutical marketing

• Demonstrated success in managing projects that interface with numerous stakeholders
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment; focus on multi-tasking and self-prioritize workload
• Excellent written communication skills, presentation delivery, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
