Editorial Assistant & Copywriter

This is a 6 month contract role with one of our Global Technology Company clients. The role is office based in London, and pays £16/hrs + (depending on experience).

Role Description:
Editorial Assistant and Copywriter with experience writing for a digital audience. You don't need to be an expert in the arts but having a genuine interest and understanding of arts and culture is preferred! You should be an expert in curating clickable headlines and images, writing engaging copy and have an understanding of what makes stories share on social media. This role would be focused on working closely with the editorial team on content project launches, as well as helping to manage the day-to-day running of editorial operations.

Responsibilities
- Implement copy, headline and image changes on various projects
- Assist editor with copyediting on editorial features
- Assist editorial team with image and storyline research
- Copywriting requests from cross-functional teams
- Assist with daily/weekly/monthly editorial tasks such as coordinating invoices from freelancers, updating our internal newsletter, etc
- Keeping our editorial calendar up-to-date and managing requests from cross-functional teams

Requirements:
- Experience writing headlines and engaging copy for online publications or user-facing product
- A background of editorial or content operations for a publication or agency as there will be an element of operation coordination of content for this role
- High emotional intelligence
- Extremely organised and efficient
- Interest in Arts & Culture
- Excellent time management skills and ability to well in a fast-paced environment
