A skilled copyeditor is needed to carry out a professional‐grade proofing of online and printed materials for a series of test forms for a grades 1‐12 assessment. Each test is very graphics heavy, and many screens and pages have limited text, though at the upper grades, a screen may contain 3‐4 paragraphs of text on it. 

The test materials are high‐stakes deliverables that must be error‐free. 

The copyeditor will use a project‐specific style guide to review digital materials and some print materials for a grades K‐12 assessment and ensure that all errors are identified and documented electronically.   

This work will be billed to a different project code than SOW 1 (for the Paper‐Based Test). 

The copyediting will occur in four windows of time as follows: 
 Listening Test Forms: 6/18 – 6/27/18 
 Writing Print‐Based Test Forms: 7/9 – 7/16/18 
 Reading Test Forms: 7/17 – 7/24/18   
 Speaking Test Forms: 7/25 – 8/2/18    
 Writing Computer‐Based Test Forms: 8/6 – 8/17/18 

The scope of the materials and the estimated hours to complete the work are in the table below. The 
estimates are based on previous experience.   

Qualifications 
 Impeccable English spelling, grammar and consistency 
 Keen attention to detail 
 Experience copyediting both digital and printed materials 
 Ability to learn and implement project‐specific style guides 
 Ability to communicate edits clearly 
 Ability to focus and work efficiently 
 Ability to use Excel for basic data entry and Adobe Reader to view PDFs 
Requirements 
 Must sign a non‐disclosure agreement and test security document 
 Must have facility conducting an online review and documenting issues in a spreadsheet. Paper‐ 
based mark ups will not be accepted. 
 Must be available to complete each section of the work during the requested time periods
