Editor/Project Manager - Brand Publishing

As Assistant Editor for Brand Publishing at our client located in DTLA, this position

will report to Senior Editor of the Brand Publishing group. Candidate should be

able to work in a team environment. The requirements are as follows:

 Working with internal and external partners to create and publish

advertiser-sponsored content

 Responsible for compiling, researching and editing editorial/advertorial

content for special advertising supplements

 Managing projects from early development, such as content themes and

objectives, to prepress (print) and the web

 Developing and curating copy, video and photo content for the web

 Supporting other editors on the team by proofreading and factchecking


 Knowledge and interest in various categories including automotive, travel,

health and entertainment

Candidate must be highly organized, have the ability to multi-task and

work well in deadline-driven environment. Excellent verbal and written

communications skills are a must.


 Bachelor’s degree is required

 3+ years of experience as an editor in online and print

 Experience working with a CMS

 Familiarity with HTML and CSS is a plus

 Strong knowledge of digital formats used for video and interactive media

 Experience editing for tone/voice, AP Style; familiarity with SEO best

practices is a plus

 Strong editorial sensibilities; ability to ensure content accuracy and


 Proven ability to translate brand/business strategy to engaging content


 Creative problem-solving skills and a relentless work ethic

 Expert skills in MS Office; familiarity with InDesign and Photoshop

 Experience with editorial process: managing freelance writers and editing

incoming copy
