Editor/Animator/Camera Operator

We are looking for someone who is multi-skilled; a talented editor and camera operator with animation skills. You will be confident working with Project Managers and directly with clients. Whilst being a great listener you will be sharp in knowing the right questions to ask when being briefed to make sure you understand the product or service therefore can execute on it superbly.

Working in an in-house agency means you have to be highly flexible and adaptable applying your skills where they are needed most. The role however will be heavily weighted towards editing as you will be the teams lead editor.

As an Editor/Animator, you'll work closely with the UK Production Manager & Multimedia Producer to produce exceptional films. You will support the companies core communication programs & initiatives at many levels and across different business areas including Finance, Legal, Tax, News and Intellectual Property & Science.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

- Edit a wide range of internal and external projects in Adobe Premiere ranging from corporate messages to interviews and events, from demos to live action and creative broadcast promos for our flagship products
- Be seen as the go to editor for London and inspire the two other teams in the US
- Review scripts and raw material and create interesting narratives
- Concept, develop and execute motion graphic projects with the support of our Art Director
- Know where and how to use animation to support an edit from title cards to motion tracked copy/iconography
- Select, suggest and edit music tracks for incorporation into live action & animation projects
- Create rough and final cuts and play active role in the review process alongside project managers including live reviews direct with clients
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to share new editing and/or design perspectives and ideas
- Maintain and follow best practices for versioning control, naming convention and organization of project files on local and off-site servers
- Ensure compliance with brand guidelines whilst never allowing them to restrict creativity
- Continuously research, discover, experiment with and implement new edit & animation styles, techniques & technologies to maximise the efficiency of our workflow and elevate the quality of our work
- Set up cameras, lighting and audio for a range of live action shoots including interviews, events and creative shoots.
- Be confident in the basics of a live action shoot and be familiar with working as part of a production team
- Be able to take on multiple roles (camera, sound, direction) on set when needed in a small crew
- Work with the team to maintain production kit

Software/Skills needed:

- Advanced in Adobe Premiere
- Good working knowledge of Adobe After Effect
- Very competent in Adobe Audition
- Familiar with an industry grading suite (preferably Adobe Speedgrade) MagicvBullet Suite or Lumetri Color
- Experience using Canon C300/5D and Sony F3/EX3 would be advantageous
- Knowledge of WorkFront preferable but not essential
- Used to working with MOffice and Google Docs
