We are hiring an Editor with 3-5 years experience and must have XML plus project management skills for our e-retail client in Seattle. This team will be working with Seller Central to manage content for a website that will be launched overseas . You will work with UI text and labeling to edit website content. The main project is working on translating American English to British English/Australian English for the expansion into the overseas market. This isn't limited to Language but currency as well. While working with this team you will get exposure to new and innovative tech systems and tools that go beyond traditional content management that can carry with you into future roles. Although this is an Editor role the projects with the global team differs from what other companies do as they're not traditional editing assignments. 

Services to be performed: 
This is primarily an editing and content-production position. English-language only. The candidate: 

* Will interact with different business groups and stakeholders to scope documentation assignments 
* Will project-manage small content requests through production 
* Will use BRDs and project documentation to insert meaningful marketplace-specific differences in help, strings, blurbs, email templates, flat files and other content types 
* Will use DITA, CMS and translation tools to edit and publish content 

-The Sponsors main priority is skills set. 
- This is more of a production role vs. marketing or editing 
-There will be an assessment sent out prior to interviewing where the candidates will be asked to translate/edit British English and identify any errors with the grammar. 

-This resource will sit onsite with their sponsor and team in Seattle and have core business hours: Monday-Friday 
-There is potential to loop to an FTE role if they're a strong fit on the team and the project expands. 
-The team has a collaborative environment 
- Looking for a self starter, and someone who can deal with ambiguity 
- 3-5 years of experience is preferred 

Top 3 Must have skills: 
1. Project Management for any editorial projects 
2. Experience with XML 
3. Ability to work in a fast pace environment, tasks change frequently throughout the day 

Required skills: 
-Outstanding skills in communicating complex technical and business subjects to a non-technical audience 
-Fluent and able to write and edit in British English 
-Experience managing content projects, including coordinating with other teams 
-Hands-on experience with editing XML markup in a content management system 
-Strong bias for action and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines 
-Bachelor's degree in English, technical writing, or related field, or comparable job experience 

Preferred skills: 
-Experience with Agile project management methodologies 
-Experience working as part of a global team 
-Experience creating content for translation and localization 
-Hands-on experience using DITA or similar structured-authoring standards to produce and publish content 

Support digital product development by viewing and critically inspecting content on a computer, identifying errors and determining sources of errors per established guidelines. Requirements: Must love books, Must have strong attention to detail, Must have the ability to do repetitive tasks while maintaining focus, Must be able to maintain confidentiality, Must be familiar with Windows operating environment and able to do basic MS Office tasks (e.g., copy, paste, save).
