EMV/ Chip Card Product Manager

Our client's EMV team is looking for a dynamic Product Manager to manage the ongoing management of EMV/Chip cards on the networks. In the near-term they will also manage projects enhancing PIN delivery and acceptance. They will monitor acceptance at merchants and aide in testing functionality. This individual will work in tight partnership with stakeholders across the enterprise and our vendors, including Product Teams.

Responsibilities:
- The Product Manager is responsible for ensuring our client's EMV/Chip cards work effectively on the networks and that the ongoing conversion of the US market our EMV/Chip Consumer Credit Cards, and may also work on Contactless (NFC) capabilities like PayWave related to credit cards (plastic form, not mobile).
- The Product Manager will be responsible for understanding, monitoring and mitigating risks from an information security, credit risk, fraud and/or operational risk lens, all while further the customer experience and value of EMV/Chip Cards.
- This team will work directly with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, First Data, our card vendors and other vendors that play a core role in the maintenance and ongoing management of this product.

Requirements:
- Proven ability to exercise independent judgment and decision making tactics.
- Technical ability and expertise to understand systems, how they interact and related dependencies.
- Proven ability to demonstrate and coach others in critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Ability to multi task and prioritize between key responsibilities and critical tasks.
- Proven success in negotiation, communication and presentation skills across various audiences and levels inside and outside the organization.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with other internal teams and leverage efficiencies when possible.
- Understanding of the product development process from concept development to product launch.
- Proven track record managing and developing a high performance team.
- Self-motivated, detail oriented and resourceful.

Preferred Skills:
- 4 year degree, MBA preferred.
- Payment/Customer focused industry preferred.
- Deep knowledge of EMV/Chip Card specifications (Payment, Identity, Government, etc.)
- Familiarity with the major credit card/debit card networks and card processing.
- Proven track record of launching products in the financial services space.
