One of our not for profit educational organizations is seeking an E-mail Marketing Manager to join their marketing department in Reston, VA. The e-mail marketing manager will be responsible for coordinating various departments within the organization and will develop prioritization strategies to maintain an organization-wide schedule and distribute email communications. Candidates should only apply if they have full knowledge and are experienced with e-mail automation, how to pull lists, create e-mails, and build landing pages. This is a very fun and social environment, however strong candidates will not be thrown off easily and will be able to think on their feet.
Work with various departments to develop and implement effective email marketing strategies, including contact lists, segmentation/targeting, content and tracking tools. Manage the email creation process from planning, creative design, and quality control, deployment and reporting. Collaborate with creative agencies to create email templates for use in promoting events, products and services to school users via the organization's email delivery system. Execute flawless and timely email marketing campaigns; one-time, recurring and dynamic-content driven. Lead email planning meetings and planning sessions. Seek new opportunities to further leverage email marketing and support organizational initiatives, encourage and train staff on how to best use the Lyris tool for email marketing efforts. Coordinate and manage organization's relationship with Lyris. Coordinate and implement all software and training updates. Manage the issue resolution process for all Lyris-related issues. Proactively track, monitor, analyze and optimize campaign performance and make actionable recommendations for improvement. Perform detailed analysis and email testing strategies across campaigns to identify most effective efforts. Provide research and recommendations as requested for emerging digital marketing issues or opportunities (i.e., mobile marketing). Manage or assist with creation and/or implementation of marketing campaigns. Manage or assist with implementation of other select projects across departments or in collaboration with regional offices.
