• Putting our customers first – above all else, it’s our job to ensure the site we develop and maintain delivers an excellent customer experience. It’s key that you make good customer focused decisions.

• Conversion – know the conversion targets overall, develop insight on what barriers exist and deliver continuous improvements.

• Web Hierarchy – responsible for the hierarchy, and making changes to improve the search results.

• Ensure customers can find products – review drop out pages and the conversion rate on browse journey to optimise browse.

• Optimisation of search - Optimise the search algorithm, re-directs, and the thesaurus.

• Search feedback – set up and manage an inbox to receive feedback, use external search results, and ensure new products are set up correctly. Ensure that results from search are feedback to the commercial teams.

• Keeping up-to-date with best practice in online and identifying new ways we can build and run our website.

• Review and analysis – interpret results to be able to make improvements for customers, be able to document and report on success of changes.

• Competitor Monitoring – know what our competitors are doing, and look for ways we can learn from them.

• Prioritisation – contribute to the development agenda with objective and concise recommendations on which work to prioritise.

Key competencies / Behaviours

• Very organised and process driven - Ability to manage your workload, resolve issues and always looking for ways to improve the process. As well as a meticulous eye for detail, you will need to have a logical and analytical approach.

• Liaising and influencing – Working with the commercial teams you will need to be able to communicate across different levels in our organisation and make strong and hard decisions when needed to ensure we deliver to deadlines.

• Consistency in your views, decisions and ways of working is essential in order to meet deadlines and build strong relationships with your colleagues.

• The successful candidate will have a tenacious can do/will do mentality. Whilst being personally robust and willing to challenge the status quo you will work closely with other team members and must be able to ‘bring people with you’.

• You will have a passion for learning and all things digital!

On behalf of the business and customers, you will have experience some/all of the following aspects

• Online marketing and operations in a commercial environment.

• Previous experience of using Endeca, Choicestream, ATG and/or Omniture (or similar search and web analytic tools).

• Your written and verbal communication skills must be second to none – structured, flexible and clear.

• Planning - proven ability at delivering things on time and to a high standard in a fast, creative and dynamic environment.

Key Skills/ Experience and Qualifications required
• 2:1 Degree
• At least two years professional work experience in a marketing or commercial role within a retail or consumer company.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills are essential
