E-commerce Content Manager

Currently seeking an E-Commerce Content Manager for our client in Las Colinas. The purpose of this position is to oversee the web content in all web-based distribution channels and brand email newsletters, ensuring brand consistency and quality while facilitating the flow and publication of information on the Internet and Intranet. This position will work closely with Marketing, Revenue Management, individual hotels, third-party suppliers and vendors to assist in the creating, writing and publishing of relevant and timely content and special offers and to deliver that information across a network of web channels while ensuring corporate brand standards are met.

Responsibilities include:

• Develops, writes and publishes effective and targeted content on corporate brand website through the SiteCore CMS program.
• Maintains information in CMS program in organized file structure method.
• Works with Interactive Manager to record and facilitate corrections to any bug(s) in CMS system.
• Uploads all graphic files to CMS media library in organized file structures for use in contenting publishing.
• Serves as corporate liaison with individual hotel properties and field e-commerce representatives to obtain property-specific content and special offers for web distribution.
• Educates hotel properties and e-commerce field representatives on correct submission formats of web content requests.
• Prioritizes and completes all web content update requests.
• Works with web architect firm to deliver special functionality requests that cannot be completed through the CMS.
• Digitally cuts all hotel graphics for website pages using Photoshop or related software and uploads to the media library.
• Updates all website .pdf files and uploads to CMS.
• Maintains the back-end administration system on any special web project and distributes the registration information to the appropriate parties.
• Inputs and maintains the appropriate keywords, meta tags, title tags, alt tags and other SEO equivalents on the omnihotels.com website.
• Monitors the corporate website to ensure all information is timely and accurate, removes any information that is outdated or expired and applies editorial and writing expertise to ensure quality and consistency of the company’s web presence while adhering to site-specific information architecture, style guide and standards.
• Builds hotels’ special offers pages with content, graphics and booking process to help individual hotels during need periods in order to assist in maximizing occupancy levels and RevPAR.
• Develops, writes and publishes content for all confirmation emails, smart emails, email newsletters and property-specific marketing emails.
• Monitor and assist in the content publishing of all corporate micro-sites, including wedding sites, restaurant sites, spa sites, golf sites and others.
• Continue to improve the site publishing process by creating, maintaining and implementing site content standards.


Qualified candidates will possess the following:
• College Degree (BS/BA). Marketing, Journalism, Communications or Business Administration preferred.
• Previous experience in online content management and development, online publishing or experience in an interactive community preferred.
• Internet/Technical – Fully versed in internet and other online publishing systems and formatting issues. Demonstrates thorough understanding of website usability and interfaces, experience in database-driven web applications and skilled at manipulating data cross-platforms such as Excel or Word into a CMS program. Working knowledge of HTML helpful, but not required.
• Highly proficient in all MS Office products.
• At least two to four years previous experience with CMS systems.
• Strong writing, grammar, spelling and punctuation skills.
• Experience in the hospitality or travel industry.
• Proven ability to coordinate projects, meet tight deadlines on short notice, and multi-task.
• Ability to learn and apply standards and guidelines.
• Web-savvy
