E-Learning/Training Specialist

You will support one or more e-learning projects currently in work. In one project, you will use development tools such as Adobe Captivate and graphic tools such as Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop or PowerPoint. You will transfer existing content from PowerPoint into Captivate or Camtasia, work with a SME or co-worker to create voice-over for each slide, time objects to the audio, create call-outs and other enhancements, and publish the final product.

In other projects, you may analyze, design, and develop online training solutions that meet business needs. You may also be called up to take a conceptual idea and turn it into a final artwork or graphic. These will be incorporated into training and/or informational products that support business needs.

Responsibilities: This role is responsible for developing quality online training products using minimal supervision within the given time frame. This role may also be responsible for designing and developing prototypes, reviewing them with the customer and/or project lead, re-designing, and developing as needed.

This person should have about 2-4 years experience in the field of instructional design and online training development. Skills sets may include: instructional design, e-learning development, graphics design, prevention of cognitive overload, effective SME interaction, written and verbal communication, Microsoft Office Suite, leadership, teamwork, positive attitude and integrity. This person should also be proficient in the use of development tools such as Captivate, Camtasia, PowerPoint, or other e-learning development tools to create effective training deliverables. The candidate will be given an opportunity to gain proficiency in these tools on-the-job if needed. Experience with designing artwork, graphics and using graphic design tools is preferred.

Education : Preferred: Bachelor's, Instructional design, multimedia, graphics, art, communications or equivalent experience
Preferred: Master's, Instructional design, Educational Technology, Instructional Technology or equivalent experience
