E-Learning Instructional Designer/Content Developer

Manage and design learning projects based on Adult Learning Theory (ALT) and sound instructional design principles and practices. The role maintains a balance of new work, acquisition, learning development, LMS team support and external vendor coordination.
• Meet with clients and team members to assess project requirements, create project plans, manage expectations, and apply team standards
• Communicate the skills available from this role to internal clients
• Manage internal clients and actively arrange for new projects that meet their needs
• Create outlines, storyboards, scripts, job aids, activities, workbooks, assessments, and other deliverables for a variety of broad range of learning needs.
• Act as a knowledge resource to the organization regarding instructional design, learning technology, graphic/media design, and learning management system (LMS) integration
• Solves problems with detail oriented logic while embracing new knowledge, different perspectives and a flexible approach
• Actively identifies opportunities to improve processes and standards
• Define technology requirements and process standards

Design, create, and troubleshoot effective training content using a variety of tools:
• Create templates, storyboards, and animation using Microsoft Office 2010
• Create e-learning interactions, branching scenarios, using Articulate Storyline’s variable and state based scripting
• Work with Adobe Captivate and Trivantis Lectora to create e-learning material
• Create e-learning presentations with Articulate Studio (Presenter, Quizmaker, Engage)
• Edit images and create complex graphics with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign
• Create and edit vector graphics and illustrations with Adobe Illustrator
• Record audio and process audio and video
• Create and modify PDF files using Adobe Acrobat Pro (optimize PDF, add/remove pages, create forms, change security settings, enable editing for Acrobat Reader)
• Troubleshoot legacy content developed in Trivantis Lectora and Adobe Flash (some understanding of action script required)
• Coordinate professional video shoots to create learning content

Integrate content with the SuccessFactor LMS. Provide guidance to content publishers or the LMS admin team when expert level knowledge is required. Applies knowledge of the following technologies:
• Familiarity with administration of one or more LMS, ability to quickly learn the specifics of the Success Factors (formerly Plateau) LMS including the Plateau Question Editor (PQE)
• Basic ability to edit HTML5, CSS, XML
• High level understanding of Java Script Flash/Action Script
• High level understanding of AICC and SCORM standards for troubleshooting
• High level understanding of the capabilities and limitations of e-pub and iBooks formats

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:
• Should have knowledge of adult learning theories and principles of elearning and mobile learning development beyond ADDIE
• Trouble-shooting modules that fail to launch or when “glitches” in the system arise
• Utilize detailed knowledge of AICC and SCORM compliance to resolve blocks in the flow of data (i.e. getting systems to “talk” to each other) for tracking and reporting
• Have an in-depth knowledge of the following authoring tools: Articulate Storylines, Articulate Studio Presenter 9, Lectora13, Captivate 9, Camtasia, and Adobe Indesign CC2014 or higher
• Administer SuccessFactor Content Objects including creating/modifying/deleting and working with internal and external content server links
• Work with external vendors and be the point of contact for them to test materials on the LMS
• Work with legacy data projects such as custom reports, potential interface with other modules of the SuccessFactor talent management system and upgrades/patch implementations.
• Must be familiar with creating iPad compatible eLearning modules.
• For publishing epubs and ibooks, knowledge of Adobe indesign and iBooks Author is required
