Our client are a global publishing group that operate on both sides of the Atlantic and in many other countries around the world. For over 30 years, our client have owned some of the biggest and most popular publications around the world and continue to explore different media outlets currently putting a lot of emphasis on the world-wide transition from printed publications to the digital space.
Our client are looking for a talented and efficient E-Commerce writer to support their Editor and Digital Strategy Team. This role will be working across several of their publications with a particular focus on one or two in particular. Working on content publication written for various affiliates and sponsors, it will be the chosen candidates responsibility to ensure that all content they write is on brand and relevant. The chosen candidate will be responsible for creating original and engaging editorial content focussed on news and lifestyle that is informed by SEO and lead by social insight.
Parts of the role will involve liaising with senior members of the team, including Editors and Stakeholders, taking the brief and managing their expectations with deliverables. This is a great opportunity to get involved with a new and developing team within one of the top businesses within the UK, shaping the style and tone of future content.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years experience working in a digital newsroom, with experience writing and editing e-commerce content. Any experience using web analytics platforms would be ideal, whether Google Analytics or Omniture.
Other skills include:
- Previous experience within a digital newsroom
- Excellent writing skills with long form and short form content
- Knowledge of SEO
- Excellent understanding of current social trends and influences
- Impeccable time management and organisational skills
