E-Commerce Marketing Manager

Your primary focus in this position will be to develop and implement marketing tactics in order to raise brand awareness and exposure, generate traffic, acquire new customers and increase overall customer activity.

We’re looking for a self-starter with extensive experience in online marketing and versatility in the latest marketing tools and platforms.

Responsibilities include campaign management, targeted programs, awareness building, online marketing, SEO/SEM, mobile app marketing, and tradeshow/event participation.

We might be part of a large corporation, but our eBooks team is small and very dynamic.

You will have the opportunity to make the most out of this contractor position and really shape your work around the ideas you’ll bring to the table. You’ll have to be willing to wear different hats and show all-hands-on-deck attitude. If you are a go-getter with a lot of energy and creativity that can think outside the box, you’ve come to the right place.

Other responsibilities:
• Develop and manage cross-promotional marketing campaigns with internal stakeholders and third-parties.
• Create and drive social media and marketing plans based on key performance indicators such as conversion and acquisition rates.
• Responsible for establishing analytics / dashboards, campaign analytics and distributing this information via regular reporting to all key stakeholders.
• Establish cross-functional working relationship to gather business requirements, marketing goals and objectives, assets, etc.
• Set and communicate expectations, schedule and organize resources, manage deliverables and meet deadlines.
• Analysis of customer behavior, current market conditions and competitor information.

Qualifications
• 3+ years in a marketing position in the publishing, e-commerce or related field
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Economics, Interactive Media or a related field or equivalent experience
• Experience with marketing budget planning and management
• Demonstrated ability to achieve results from online marketing campaigns
• Strong analytical skills, familiarity with Google Analytics or Adobe Omniture a must
• Experience in Search engine marketing and optimization
• Strong ability to build productive internal/external working relationships
• Proficient to expert experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate and present effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Travel required
