Our client are a global publishing group that operate on both sides of the Atlantic and in many other countries around the world. For over 30 years, our client have owned some of the biggest and most popular publications around the world and continue to explore different media outlets currently putting a lot of emphasis on the world-wide transition from printed publications to the digital space.

 

Role Description

Our client are looking for an experienced E-Commerce Editor to join the Digital Strategy team, a new part of the business that is growing rapidly. Working closely with the Head of Branded Content to shape the tone and direction of content within our client’s affiliate programme. The chosen candidate will be an enthusiastic and self-starting individual with previous experience within a digital newsroom. They will be responsible for delivering editorially led news and lifestyle content, ensuring everything is on-brand, engaging and socially relevant. Part of the role will involve investigating relevant stories to be developed into both long and short form content, creating briefs for writers to work with. It will then be your responsibility to edit all pieces of content that leave the floor.

This will also be an analytical and technically based role, so our client require someone with extensive experience with various platforms, including Google Analytics and Omniture. It will be the chosen candidates responsibility to build and develop relationships, collaborating with various stakeholders throughout the business.

 

Skills & Experience

Our client require an experienced Editor from a journalistic background that is open to new ideas and an entrepreneurial working style. They must be an experienced writer and have extensive editing experience.

Other skills include:

  • Previous experience within a digital newsroom
  • Excellent writing skills with long form and short form content
  • Knowledge of SEO​
  • Previous management/team lead experience
  • Excellent understanding of current social trends and influences
  • Impeccable time management and organisational skills
