Domain Manager

The main function of this role will be to assist in the management of the companies global domain name portfolio. This is a year-long contract. Candidates can be in Austin, TX, or can be based remotely. Interested candidates should apply with a resume and 5 bullet points listing your qualifications.

• Maintain and renew existing domain registrations.
• Assist with handling of domain registration requests.
• Develop and execute registration strategies and programs as new gTLDs and ccTLDs launch.
• Correspond with and oversee third party vendor and outside counsel work regarding domain management.
• Gather evidence in support of domain enforcement matters, including recovery of cybersquatted and typosquated URLs.
• Assist in integration and evaluation of domain portfolios acquired through corporate M&A activity.
• Update registrant contact information per ICANN policy.
• Perform document retrieval and database maintenance for all business registrations.
• Submit Domain by Proxy reveal requests to support domain enforcement efforts.
• Support strategic registrations and acquisitions of new URLs due to business needs.

Requirements:
• A minimum of an Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• At least five years of experience managing domain portfolio(s) for large global client(s) required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) is required.
• Must have extensive technical knowledge of domain name registration protocols across the globe.
• Previous in-house experience preferred.
• Experience directly advising business stakeholders preferred.
• Candidate must be highly organized, self-directed, detail oriented with excellent analytical, problem solving, multi-tasking and writing skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high stakes environment and to act quickly, decisively and collaboratively with multiple stake-holders.
• Ability to work hands-on on projects to ensure their delivery and effectiveness.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills in a multi-cultural environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and comfort with ambiguity.
• Strong business judgment and strategic thinking.
• Clear enthusiasm for eBay Inc.’s mission and business objectives.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10% per quarter.
