Distribution Specialist

Great opportunity for a Distribution Specialist to join a large pharmaceutical company!

• Manages all inventory activities for assigned brands including, storage, kit assembly, destructions, holds, low stocks, expired items and receiving.
• Coordinates distribution activities for assigned brands including assemblies and field sales audience identification. Ensures appropriate approvals for shipments have been obtained by the client, sufficient inventory is available and shipment method is most cost effective, while meeting client deadlines.
• Provides clients with all relevant reports and any ad hoc report requests. Supports clients in inventory management and distribution of promotional materials.
• Advises client on best practices and provides suggestions regarding cost-savings opportunities; helps manage brand distribution budgets.
• Manages field sales structure information with the distribution vendor. Conducts periodic site visits to inspect project pack-outs and proper receipt of materials. Oversees Direct to Physician mail programs through direct mail supplier.
• Provides customer support to Field Sales, Marketing (US, Puerto Rico and Global) and other internal clients.

Skills and Knowledge Desired
• Possesses working knowledge of literature distribution, distribution supplier services, distribution systems/interfaces, direct mail services and database fulfillment/management.
• Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple processes, projects and programs; independently investigates, analyses and recommends solutions.
• Effectively and clearly communicates clearly across all levels of corporate structure with proven results working in a team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in MS Office and basic PC skills.

Experience/Position Requirements Desired
• BA or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, personal care and/or consumer packaged goods industry environment with 2 – 3 years experience in promotional fulfillment warehouse environment.
• 3 – 5 years project coordinator or equivalent.
