Director of Web Analytics

Growing company in Encinitas, CA (30 miles north of San Diego) seeks an experienced Director of Web Analytics to help company gain important and meaningful optics into online business.

The Director of Web Analytics will assess and integrate data points, study and segment critical data, prepare and present organized, insightful and actionable reports that dive deep into the core analytics of traffic, conversion and customer activity on company site (millions of visitors per year). The Director of Web Analytics will work closely with Marketing, Product, Technology, Conversion and Business Development in shaping the future of the digital experience.

The Director of Web Analytics will gather the necessary data, build and maintain a standardized storehouse of information and dashboards, and support teams throughout the business with mission critical information to help maintain business metrics, understand customer activity, design relevant content and properly interface with business partners. This role will help to understand the underpinnings of core KPI’s that drive the path forward.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

- Play a critical role in operationalizing a data-driven organization.
- Develop an Analytics based roadmap designed to drive business objectives and insights
- Transform raw data into meaningful and impactful analysis that influences company, product, and marketing strategy.
- Partner and engage with key stakeholders to understand needs, gather and suggest well-formed report requirements, develop and test prototypes, and provide support and training
- Train and support end users in use of reports, and maintain documentation which is easy for business owners to understand
- Define revenue and traffic attribution models to maximize performance visibility
- Help develop the automation of reporting and insights into our business infrastructure.
- Shape the integration and implementation of Adobe SiteCatalyst (Omniture), Domo, Brightedge, and other analytical tools to drive strategic business decisions
- Develop and manage a warehouse of regularly used data and analytics templates, formulas and automations for easy access to essential information for various teams throughout the company
- Analyze engagement, traffic, SEO, revenue and conversion metrics to provide insights into trends, and business outcomes to inform product strategy, business hypothesis and customer conversion
