Director of User Experience (UX)

Company seeks Direct of User Experience (UX) for contract-to-hire role. The Director of UX will hire, inspire and manage: researchers, copywriters, designers, and user experience experts. The Director of UX will lead teams who design solutions that drive customer satisfaction.

The Director of UX role includes:
- Evangelizing the importance and value of great User Experience throughout the organization, influencing development, marketing, customer service and more.
- Driving the long-, medium-, and short-term roadmap for the end-to-end user experience.
- Driving end-to-end experience thinking across product management, in-depth interviews, root-cause analysis, and other customer/market research methods. Partnering effectively with product management leaders, and design the best solutions to those problems.
- Leading the team of user experience experts to produce deliverables that define the product user experience from ideation to prototype, including user/task flows, design frameworks, conceptual design, wireframes, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, design specifications and research. Ensure that all the tools are scalable.
- Aligning your user experience recommendations and decisions with high-level organizational strategies, KPIs, and business objectives.
- Staying on top of the latest user experience techniques, and identify strategic opportunities for competitive advantages through benchmarking, consumer insight, market analysis, and other techniques. Establishing user experience guidelines for what is fixed, flexible and free in service to driving business results.
- Leading interactive product review sessions to get diversified input, and be the customer and employee advocate to prioritize the product line roadmap. Interact with senior leaders and founders and drive to decisions. Role model, teach and nurture constructive debate based on customer insights and design best practices.
- Practicing effective people leadership skills, identify and communicate risks and opportunities. Accountable for hiring, onboarding, managing, growing and measuring performance of talent.
- Creating an environment for high performing Scrum teams with great user experience participation and thought leadership.
