Director of User Experience

Responsibilities:
• Lead the user experience design process to develop and refine interfaces for clients, consumers, and internal users
• Solve challenging usability issues such as simplifying complex tasks, enabling non-designers to create professional consumer concepts, and integrating diverse workflows and assets in an easy-to-manage application suite
• Generate high-fidelity prototypes and visual design specifications
• Define and maintain user profiles, personas and scenarios
• Schedule and conduct user interviews, usability tests, user groups, and usage diagnostics to evaluate and refine application architecture, workflows and design
Reports to VP of Product Marketing and Management

Experience required:
• Experience as a Senior UX Designer in a team environment
• Experience leading or significantly contributing to the design of a complex HTML web-based application
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
• Familiarity in developing user profiles, user scenarios, task flows, and information architecture
• Ability to define appropriate usability methodology, processes, estimates, and artifacts for a project or application
• Ability to understand and design within business and technology constraints
• Experience creating interactive prototypes using software such as Balsamiq, Axure, Visio or similar.
• Experience working in an Agile environment a plus


Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Product/Interaction Interactive Design, Human Factors, Computer Science, Graphic Design or related field
