RESPONSIBILITIES
As an executive member of the consumer team, take part in business planning, setting UX direction and establishing creative standards.
Evangelize a clear vision of the style and standards, working as a chief user advocate throughout product planning and delivery.
Demand ongoing primary and secondary research and incorporate resulting insights into your user experience vision.
Build and mentor the creative team of human factors engineers and graphic artists to understand user needs, and create and explore multiple options to address them.
Take input and feedback from cross-functional project teams while translating business requirements into elegant user interfaces.
Partner with research, product, engineering, project management, and marketing counterparts to deliver high-quality products on time.
Produce and maintain personas, wireframes, site maps, task flows, style guidelines, comps, assets, marcom deliverables, etc.
Design world-class products that empower and delight consumers and propel our business.

REQUIREMENTS
8-10 years experience in information architecture and interaction design for:
Large-scale consumer web properties
Mobile applications and web sites
Interactive TV a plus
3-4 years managing creative teams including HFE/IA professionals, visual designers, and usability researchers
UX design fundamentals, best practices in information architecture and usability.
Hands-on expertise in information architecture deliverables including user flows, site maps, wireframes, prototypes, and usability testing methods.
Direct experience with conceptual sketches, mock-ups and storyboarding in the discovery phase of the creative process
Ability to think on one’s feet is critical to success – exploring concepts using a whiteboard, sketches, and highly interactive discussion
Experience as a Creative Director delivering conceptual sketches, mock-ups and storyboards during the “discovery phase” is a plus
Excellent verbal, visual, and written communication skills to address working teams and executive audiences
BA or MA in Interaction Design, Cognitive Science, or HCI, or equivalent experience
